We are grateful for the outstanding support we receive from caring individuals who respond to our mailings. To show our appreciation, it's our pleasure to award a $10,000 Grand Prize and $1,000 Early Bird Prize corresponding to each of our six sweepstakes during the year.
We know from many years of experience that our free, no-obligation Sweepstakes generates a much higher response which in turn benefits many more poor children.
There is no contribution required to be eligible for the Sweepstakes drawing. Your odds of winning depends on the number of entries received. The average number of entrants is 200,000. Winners are randomly selected from a pool of all received tickets, by the Mission Office Director or an assistant Salesian clergy member and witnessed by an employee. Cash prizes are awarded in one lump sum. We will notify you by telephone or certified mail, if you have won. Winners are listed in our magazine, "Salesian” and on our website. To obtain a winners’ list, send us a stamped self-addressed envelope.

1. Why do we engage in a sweepstakes?
The simple reason is that it helps raise more awareness and encourage giving for the poor and needy in our Missions. The public enjoys participating and most times someone in real need is the winner. It’s our small way of “giving something back” to the community. We’ve been having sweepstakes drawings for over 20 years and thankfully the funds generated by them have been more than sufficient to cover the costs.
2. Is it a “free” sweepstakes?
Absolutely free! No donation is required to be eligible for the drawing. Just return your tickets before the award date to be included in the drawing.
3. How is the winner selected?
On the award date, all tickets received are pooled together and delivered to the Director’s office. The Salesian Missions Director or other Salesian clergy member then randomly selects a winner from the pooled tickets. There is always at least one witness at the drawing. The average number of entrants is 200,000.
4. Can I see a winners list?
Yes. Winners are listed in our bi-annual magazine, “Salesian” and on our website. To obtain a winners list, send us a stamped, self-address postcard or envelope, or email us at info@salesianmissions.org. If you are the winner, we will notify you by telephone or certified mail.
